I contated Gliderol who emailed me the manual for setting the limits, followed the instructions and now none of the handsets work.I followed the procedure for reprogramming the handsets but still just two beeps and no movement from the door.I have read some old threads regarding the older Gliderol GTS 2000 model but unable to find the solution. When I started the reprogramming of the limits the door was in the open position (if this helps).
Gliderol Roller Garage Door Problems Manual For SettingGliderol are more than happy to come and look at it now it is out of its 12 month warranty 99 for first 15min and then 22 for every 15mins after that parts. I guess there is a Max OPEN position and Max CLOSE postion and STOP on Touch sensor, in case the door closes and something is in the way like a person or object. A wild guess is one of the sensors may have stuck, maybe a spider or wasp has entered and built a nest inside. But if you do go fiddling, please disconnect the Mains plug first. Press limit button (on the PCB) until the controller beeps 3 times, 2. I will remove more covers when next get chance and investigate further. This counter could be a light or a coilmagnetic strip and say it takes 55 turns of the shaft to go from start to finish but there must be something physical to stop it over running I would think in either direction. How about when the door is Down, DONT adjust the lower position but take it as SET where it stops and then let it go UP and see where it ends up. Earlier on, I had to turn the mains power off the house for some work for approx 15 minutes. After this the power was turned back on and about 1 hr later I tried to operate the garage door with no success. It is a gliderol roller door and has a Glidermatic GTS 2000 overhead door opener. The fault that occurs is this: The door was in the downshut position and when I pressed the remote control, the door did not move and only 2 beeps came from the overhead controller. Ive never had this problem before and other times when the power was turned off, all was ok afterwards. Gliderol Roller Garage Door Problems Upgrade Was ThatReason for the upgrade was that some low life hacked into the old remote system and emtied the garage one night. According to the Gliderol tech it is as simple as replacing the board, setting the limits and linking the remotes. Took forever to get both remotes working because linking the second resulted in the first one to be deleted but eventually we got them both set up. Quite proud how good we are we also decided to give the whole unit a decent clean and to do so we disconnected everything from power. Quick vacuum and with the help of some paint brushes all looked nice again.
